There will be plenty of choice for buyers in England and Wales at the NSA Wales & Border Early Sales. Vendors have responded with a range of top quality rams entered for sale at the Brecon sale on 4th August and at Hereford on 5th August.

A leading vet in Wales is urging Welsh farmers to vaccinate as soon as possible against bluetongue. Angus Wyse is the official veterinary officer for the NSA Wales & Border Ram Sales, one of the UK’s most important sheep sales.
Two Early Sales Announced
Early Rams will sell either side of the border Bluetongue regulations mean there will be an additional Early Sale, organized by NSA Wales & Border Ram Sales, at the beginning of August.
New Role at NSA Wales & Border Ram Sales
A familiar face at the NSA Wales & Border Ram Sales, Helen Fairclough-Watling, is stepping up to a new role. Helen will be supporting Executive Director, Jane Smith, in the significant job of organising the sales, which are an important economic driver in Mid Wales.
Suffolk improvements at the NSA Wales & Border Main Sale
There will be more opportunity to select MV accredited Suffolk rams at the NSA Wales & Border Ram Main Sale this year. The organizers have agreed measures to improve the experience for both buyers and vendors.
Bluefaced Leicester changes for 2025
After requests from the BFL Society we are able to implement some major changes for the order of sale for the Bluefaced Leicester rings at the 2025 sale which we hope this will improve the flow of the sale for both consignors and buyers. Ballot order will be retained whereever possible.
Blue Tongue Vaccine given the go ahead in Wales
The Welsh Government has worked closely with farming industry representatives, who have requested that all three BTV-3 vaccines be licensed for use in Wales.
