Ram Sale update - its all go!

17th June 2021

The Ram Sale Committe met yesterday (16th June) and plans are well advanced for both sales at the Royal Welsh Showground. There are likely to be changes due to the current situation but our main aim is to get the sale back and welcome all our vendors and buyers back to Builth.

Plans are for all trade stands at the Main Sale to be outside this year, so we will pray for a fine day. It will just help with social distancing and allow more space in the Glamorgan Hall for the auctioneers and the pay desks. There will be no trade stands at the Early Sale unless rules relex signifigently.

Schedules will be sent out for the Early Sale in about two weeks with the closing date of July 7th, although forms are now on line and can be completed  NOW.

Main Sale schedules will go out towards the end of July, with entries closing on Wednesday 4th August.

There will be a new section this year - a sale of recipient ewes, only MV accreditted sheep will be permitted and vendors have the opportunity to sell in lots of 2,3, or 5 per pen. Entry fee is £5 per ewe (+VAT). These entries must be submitted on the Recipient Entry form and sent to McCartneys.

In order to safeguard our inspectors, there will be no NSA inspection this year, although breed societies may wish to carry out their own inspection. We would ask all vendors to read the changes to the rules and still present sheep which in another year would pass inspection. The same recommendations apply as outlined in our schedule.
