The Trailer of Truth

Farmers to Action will be bringing a Trailer of Truth to the NSA Wales & Border Ram Sale. The trailer will be escorted onto the Royal Welsh Showground from 10.30 on the morning of Monday 22nd September.
Organisers say it will be an opportunity for flockmasters to send messages written on the trailer directly to the Government and to raise awareness of the plight of farmers. The Welsh trailer is travelling across Wales via Builth Wells, St Asaph and Ruthin to reach the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool on 29 th September.
Welsh co-ordinator, Liam Davies-Jones, says: “It’s to show the Labour Party Conference that we’re here, we’re not going anywhere and we’re not happy with the way things are. “We’re taking the trailer to Builth and trying to get as much support and as many signatures onto the trailer as possible. “It’s to show support for farmers and against the inheritance tax to Sir Starmer at the Labour Party Conference. It feels like the final nail in the coffin for British farming. “The thought that one day my children might have to sell up in order to pay a tax bill is absolutely heartbreaking. In my opinion nobody should have to pay inheritance tax. “It’s just a really horrible situation and I don’t think anyone should have to be in that situation, worrying about paying a huge tax bill on their death.”
